"Friends of Lucas Park," a new downtown organization is forming to help
spearhead the revitalization of Lucas Park. But first we need to
populate the board, so please apply by Wednesday, November 14th.
If applying to join the five person board, please send me an email answering the following questions.
- How close in proximity do you live to Lucas Park?
- Can you make a small time commitment to support the project?
- Have you had experience in successfully leading projects, whether large or small?
- Have you worked previously to support Lucas Park improvement projects? If so, explain briefly.
- Do you have a dog? (It's not necessary to have one)
If you aren't interested in joining the board but would still like to
help in the future, please send me an email so you can be added to the
list.
To learn more about the improvement project, click the image below to view the most recent Lucas Park presentation. In order to view it, you must authenticate with a Google account. If you don't have one, you can obtain one for free at http://gmail.com.
Thanks!

As you can see, we've totally redone the website. The organization is better, there are links to other sites (merchants, civic groups, blogs) relevant to downtown, and most importantly...
NOW IT'S INTERACTIVE.
This new site should really help the DSLRA be the voice of downtown. I'll make sure that city officials, businesses and potential residents know that this is where to turn to see what downtown residents are thinking about, and what we want.
Discuss away utilizing our discussion forums!!!! Just register and start talking. And please, look over the site and let us know how we can tailor it even better. New discussion topics? New links? New contacts? Let us know.
Thanks - I hope you like it. Brad
